God created man in His own image and likeness. By default, man was only meant to see good because God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good and He validated it completely. This therefore means that man’s corrupted vision was the genesis of the law of sin and death. When God visited Adam in the garden and found them hiding because they were naked, He asked him, “Who told you?” because what you hear will eventually determine what you see.

In a letter to the saints in Ephesus, Apostle Paul prayed that the eyes of their understanding being enlightened; they may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. Ephesians 1:18
The word of God is the incorruptible seed which is able to correct the vision of the fallen man and align it to God’s way of seeing things. Herein lies the mystery of the preaching of the gospel.
